Phew! Where does the time go??? I can't believe it's already May... Things always seem to speed up as the seasons change and especially now that Spring is in full bloom.  Our latest trip to England was so lovely. Julie and Phil's wedding was beautiful and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time there.  It was a sunny day, skies speckled with a few fluffy clouds and Julie looked absolutely stunning! (So did Phil) 

  The ceremony was lovely and the progression of the days events flowed easily into eachother and it wasn't long before we were out in the sun, sipping pims on the terrace, having a few photos. The next thing we knew, it was time for an elegant 5 course supper,  speeches and toasts with pink champagne... tables bedecked with tiny pink hearts, stately calla lillies, mirrors reflected floating candle-light and then we were treated to a fabulous cruise around the lake with more champagne. After we took in loads of breath-taking scenery, it was down to the pub for some Olde Fashioned wedding fun! There was music and dancing and more nibbles and delicious cake. We got to watch the beaming couple dance their first dance as husband and wife and time continued to melt away. 

Michael and his best mate Dave indulged us with their wonderful musical talent and we sang along to songs like "Whisky in the Jar" "Leaving on a Jet Plane" "The Wild Rover" and "Star of the County Down" to name a few. It was a blast and everyone wanted them to keep playing... there's nothing quite like watching and listening to your husband and his best friend do something that they love so much together... Elsa wisely said it turned them into little boys again. 

  As the night went on, we laughed and danced and sang along to all the fun music and we really just had the best time. It was such a wonderful visit and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day for Julie and Phil. They were joyful and relaxed and very much at home with eachother which is just what you want for the people you love. The memories we have of the whole trip, the wedding and spending time with Ken are treasured like the sparkles in the eyes of Phil and Julie.
