What is it about little boys? They have an unexpected sweetness and the capacity to melt your heart at a moments notice... Michael and I had the privilege of spending a few days watching our nephews and we had such a blast! Every day was a new adventure. We'd go to a park or to my mom's for a great day of lazy summer swimming. I think we went to practically every main park in Abbotsford during the 4 days that we were there.

We played hide 'n seek so many times that we very nearly ran out of places to hide. Michael came up with some great ones though, even I had a tough time finding him. There were lots of cartoons and sprinklings of Veggie Tales in amongst a bit of Transformers...

But best of all there were lots of hugs and tickle-tackles! We chased each other around the house and made all sorts of farm-animal noises during more than one supper. Noah and Benjamin are such good boys and it was a real blessing to get to spend time with them. From the quiet morning hours with their cups of chocolate milk to the boisterous afternoons filled with pure chaos and silly fun to tucking them in as they slept like angels. No wonder children are a gift from the Lord. We'd do it all again...in a heartbeat.
